1. How often do I need to change the oil in the supercharger and where do I purchase the oil from?
Supercharger oil must be replaced every 50,000 miles (80,000 Km).
To assure the correct oil is being used, only purchase the supercharger oil from Weistec Engineering or our distributors.
Please refer to our supercharger maintenance for instructions and further details.

2. Do I add anti-freeze coolant to the supercharger intercooler system?
If temperatures are near freezing levels (50F, 10C) it is recommended to add a 50/50 blend of anti-freeze coolant to the intercooler system.
Failure to do so may cause extensive damage to the intercooler and its supporting components.
3. How many horsepower will my AMG 63 Mercedes make with the Weistec Supercharger?
Typically, the Weistec Stage 1 system will boost performance to 626 HP, 467 kW and 551 ft lb, 747 Nm. Results may vary depending on ambient temperatures, atmospheric pressures, engine and intercooler temperatures, etc.
Other modification may or may not increase overall performance.
4. What kind of fuel should I be using?
It is very imperative to use a minimum 91 octane (MON + RON)/2. Lower grade fuels can cause detonation and can ultimately diminish engine life.
5. Do headers and exhaust aid in power gains with the supercharger?
Yes, free flowing exhaust and headers do increase efficiency of the engine. This efficiency and drop in back pressure may also decrease the boost pressure delivered by the supercharger (up to 3 psi on a Stage 1 system).
The easiest way to correct this is to install the correct cog pulley size to bring boost to the desired level.
Please contact our sales team to find the correct cog pulley for your application.
6. How does the Weistec supercharger increase engine performance?
In short, the Weistec supercharger compresses more air into the engine; fuel can then be added in proportion for an increase in performance.
Supercharging increases air density and significantly increases power in an otherwise stock application.
7. Can I have a third party company tune my supercharged Mercedes?
Weistec Engineering is the innovator of the supercharged M156/M159 engine. It is highly recommended to have Weistec Engineering properly calibrate the vehicles ECU.
Not doing so can cause damage to engine and supercharger components.
8. Does Weistec Engineering provide a warranty with their system?
All products that are manufactured by Weistec Engineering include a 12 month limited warranty. For more information please refer to our Warranty documentation.

9. How long does it take to install a supercharger system?
The Weistec M156 supercharger system can be installed in 8-10 hours with the tools listed in the instruction manual.
All Weistec components are engineered to the highest quality standards, our systems are a "bolt on" installation.
Please call to speak with a technician if you have any questions about your specific application.
10. Is the Weistec supercharger intercooled?
Yes, every supercharger system is equipped with a complete air-to-water intercooler system.
Air charge temperatures are drastically cooled by the use of a very large intercooler core and an equally efficient heat exchanger that mounts in the front of the vehicle.
The system also includes an electric water pump and recovery tank that is completely separate from the vehicles coolant system.
11. Why do boost levels vary in different configurations?
Boost levels vary depending on the type of exhaust system that is installed on the vehicle, cog pulley sizes, and elevation.
Typically, long tube headers, and free flowing exhaust will decrease boost levels.
Higher elevation also affects boost levels because atmospheric pressure decreases as elevation increases.
12. What advantage does a Weistec supercharger have over other modifications?
The Weistec supercharger system is the most comprehensive, and robust modification available for the AMG 6.3L equipped vehicle.
A very straight forward and simple install makes the Weistec supercharger a very easy choice, not to mention the only 50 state legal (PENDING) component for your 6.3L AMG vehicle.
